About Sean Harrison
Sean is an associate and Interim Co-Head of our Family Law team, as well as Team lead for Children.
Sean has specialised in family and children law since 2015 and became Children Panel accredited in 2020.
His areas of specialism include:
- Care proceedings – representing parents, carers and children through their Children’s Guardians
- Child protection at all stages
- Child arrangements, including emergency orders
- Adoption
- Fostering and kinship care
- Forced marriage
- Domestic abuse and emergency injunctions
Clients benefit from Sean’s compassionate and empathetic approach, alongside his ability to provide clear, reassuring guidance during what are often highly distressing proceedings. He is committed to achieving outcomes that prioritise the welfare of children and families, and offers continuity of representation both in the office and at court.
Sean regularly handles cases involving serious and complex allegations, including non-accidental injuries, sexual and physical abuse, fabricated or induced illness (FII), neglect, substance misuse, and domestic abuse.
He is particularly dedicated to supporting young parents and carers, providing clear, practical advice and strong representation in cases where social services have raised concerns. His approach focuses on maintaining family relationships where possible, working to prevent separation or to facilitate reunification in the best interests of the children involved.

- Sean obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Brunel University London in 2012
- In 2014 Sean completed a Master of Laws (LLM) in Legal Practice (LPC) at the University of Law
- He qualified as a solicitor in July 2016 with the majority of his training contract in Public Law
- Since 2023 Sean has led a Public Law Children team in London
- Sean joined Bindmans as the Team Leader for Children Law in 2025
